Spiro Gladiator CTF

We were honoured to collaborate with the Spiro and MAX team to design and host their first of a kind Capture the Flag (CTF) competition on EV and IoT systems.. At CTFRoom, we pride ourselves on being Africa’s go-to platform for cybersecurity training and competitions, and this event gave us the perfect opportunity to showcase what we do best. From the initial stages of planning, our teams worked closely to ensure the platform was tailored to certain goals, providing participants with a seamless, engaging, and impactful experience.

The event, which ran for 12 hours, had 13 challenges from various cybersecurity domains including Artificial intelligence, Web3 and Blockchain security, Incident Response, Reverse Engineering, attracted more than 200 participants, grouped into 158 teams from more than 10 countries including Kenya, Nigeria, The Gambia,South Africa, Namibia India, Canada.

Our skilled teams designed the challenges and worked with our partners to manage the project which included student registration and validation, live scoreboard and support. The CTFRoom platform once again showed its stability and dynamic scalability as we deployed more than 100 virtual instances for each team, consuming 300 GB of RAM, 5 TB of disk and 400 vCPUs.

For us at CTFRoom, this event wasn’t just about running a competition – it was about creating a space where talent could shine and skills could grow. Seeing participants tackle the challenges we helped design, and knowing we played a role in fostering innovation and community growth, was immensely rewarding. Beyond the technical execution, we were proud to support Spiro’s mission to blend cybersecurity with sustainable mobility and inspire the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.

Thank you Spiro, Spiro Academy for trusting us with your CTF needs.
